Moscow calls for end to hostilities in Iraq
MOSCOW. April 9 (Interfax) - Moscow has called for an end to the military actions in Iraq.
"Russia is calling for an end to the military activities and also for restraint to be exercised. It is necessary to prevent a humanitarian disaster from nearing the Iraqi cities and to not allow for the escalation of the conflict in Iraq," reads a statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website on Friday. |
