El pueblo unido: What governments and tyrants and fascists and the police will never get is the drive and strength it takes to overcome one's fears for their life and freedom, to step out of the door of your home one morning to join a protest, without knowing if you 'll come back bruised, beaten or even if you will come back at all. It is that inner voice that tells you that you 're not alone in all of this, that you' re fighting the good fight and that in the face of danger, people will come to your aid. It is that distinct moment that “people” become comrades. Like the moment in the video above where a protester in Santiago, Chile disables a surveillance camera on a tall lamp post and while she realizes she can't move back to where she climbed she falls into the joined hands of people, turned comrades, in just few seconds.
El pueblo unido jamás será vencido...
The people united will never be defeated...
