Si Afrin cae… Será demasiado tarde

Hacemos un llamamiento el lunes 12.3.2018 para comenzar con esta campaña militante donde sea que podamos golpear a los gobernantes. Tomemos partido de manera radical, creativa y valiente. Organizemom acciones locales como preludio de una resistencia que mostrará a los poderosos de este mundo que Afrin no está sola. Como dicen en Rojava, nosotros también decimos: "Lucharemos juntos, perderemos juntos o venceremos juntos".
Durante más de 6 semanas hemos visto el ataque y la ocupación de Afrin, el cantón occidental de Rojava, por parte del estado turco junto a grupos islamistas vinculados a Al-Qaida i al ISIS. En esta campaña de exterminio, los invasores no se amedrentan en usar bombardeos deliberados contra la población civil e incluso armas químicas. Los mercenarios islamistas y los fascistas soldados turcos dejan un rastro de devastación, saqueo, violación y asesinato, practican una limpieza étnica en el territorio de los kurdos. Hasta el dia de hoy más de 300 civiles y muchos militantes han dado sus vidas, docenas de aldeas han sido destruidas y cientos de miles de personas han tenido que abandonar sus hogares. A pesar de la resistencia decidida de la gente de Afrin y las unidades de defensa de las YPG/YPJ/SDF, el ejército turco logra ganar más terreno cada día. Mientras que la ofensiva turca estaba estancada en el área fronteriza del cantón durante el primer mes, en los últimos días importantes ciudades como Raco y Shera han sido conquistados por los invasores. Su destino es la ciudad de Afrin, el lugar donde hasta ahora han encontrado refugio los civiles que han huido de las aldeas y los pequeños pueblos que han sido conquistados. Esto es posible gracias al uso masivo de la tecnología moderna de la OTAN, como aviones de combate, artillería, tanques y drones. La guerra fascista-islamista contra Afrin no es solo el intento de Erdogan de destruir el movimiento de libertación kurdo. Mientras Rusia abre la puerta a las fuerzas aereas turcas ​​el régimen sirio de Assad se mantiene de facto inactivo. La OTAN activamente apoya esta guerra con información de inteligencia, tecnología militar, armas y municiones de las fábricas occidentales. Los mensajes hipócritas de los palacios del poder no pueden ocultar el hecho de que esta guerra no es nada más que el cálculo de los gobernantes con la revolución de Rojava. Es el calculo contra el intento de contrarrestar el sistema capitalista con una alternativa auto-determinada de democracia radical, liberación de las mujeres, verdadera igualdad de género y ecología social. La izquierda radical en todo el mundo debemos ser conscientes de la histórica importancia de estos días. El ataque a Afrin es un intento de destruir el proyecto revolucionario más prometedor de nuestra generación. La revolución de Rojava no es solo la única perspectiva emancipadora significativa en Oriente Medio, es también uno de los últimos destellos de esperanza que quedan para hacer posible otro mundo. Como ninguna otra revolución de las últimas décadas, Rojava nos ha inspirado y nos muestra cuán radical y bella puede ser la lucha por la liberación de la sociedad. La heroica resistencia de YPG y YPJ en Kobane y la autoorganización de la población, bajo la iniciativa de mujeres liberadoras hechizan a miles de izquierdistas, anarquistas, socialistas y feministas. En todo el mundo esta revolución es discutida, admirada y motivo de solidaridad; cientos de personas recorrierion su camino a Rojava y participaron en la resistencia contra ISIS y la construcción de una nueva sociedad. A pesar de todas las contradicciones, el el movimiento de Rojava, con su determinación, su conexión con la gente y la implementación concreta de nuestras utopías, se ha convertido en el más importante foco de la lucha global contra el capitalismo, el patriarcado y el racismo. Hoy, este proyecto se encuentra entre la espada y la pared. La guerra en Afrin es una lucha entre la existencia o no-existencia para la revolución en Rojava. Si Afrin cae, Minbij caerá también. Con una victoria para el Estado turco al oeste del Eufrates, el imperialismo estadounidense también replanteará su estrategia regional y considerará entregar el norte de Siria a las milicias islamistas afiliadas a Turquía, bajo la etiqueta de FSA -nuevo alias de ISIS- y Al-Qaida / Al-Nusra. Esto sería no solo el inicio de una limpieza étnica y el sangriento final de la revolución de Rojava, sino también el comienzo de una nueva fase en el desarrollo del fascismo turco como fuente del islamismo mundial: los sueños de Erdogan sobre el nuevo Imperio Otomano, con él como Sultán a la cabeza, ya no tendría ninguna contraparte. La dictadura interna se consolidaría durante décadas, la expansión colonial se extendería al exterior. El medio Oriente sería conducido más profundamente en el caos de la guerra y la aniquilación sin una fuerza que puede desarrollar una alternativa emancipatoria. El hecho que los acontecimientos en Oriente Medio tienen un impacto directo en procesos políticos y sociales también en Europa y otras partes del mundo, ha sido demostrado no solo por los ataques de ISIS en los últimos años. También el aumento del racismo, el sexismo y el antisemitismo en las sociedades europeas, el nuevo militarismo y las crecientes llamados al estado autoritario con el regreso de la derecha radical, están directamente relacionados. Debemos ser conscientes que las condiciones bajo las cuales nosotros, la izquierda radical, estamos luchando en los centros de poder, también están afectados en gran medida por el equilibrio internacional de poder. Igual que también las condiciones políticas en las metrópolis del capitalismo, influyen en las condiciones bajo las cuales nuestros amigos pelean en Afrin. La gente de Rojava sigue en pie, YPG / YPJ / SDF se oponen a estos desarrollos. Y hasta ahora esta resistencia ha tenido éxito solo porque la gente ha decidido darlo todo por ello. Sin embargo, Afrin no podrá defenderse contra la brutal superioridad de los ataques del ejército turco y sus colaboradores islamistas sin apoyo internacional. Pero a pesar de semanas de protestas en todo el mundo, los estados de Norte America hasta Rusia, pasando por Europa, se aferran a su cruel decisión de poner fin a esta revolución, y parecen haber sellado el destino de la gente en Rojava. La resistencia en Afrin solo tendrá éxito si estamos listos para darlo todo, incluso si es lo más valioso. No continuaremos contemplando pasivamente esta injusticia. No dejaremos sola a la gente en Rojava y a nuestros camaradas en la lucha, porque la guerra contra Afrin es una guerra en contra nuestra. El ataque turco en Afrin es el impulso político, económico y militar de la OTAN en el corazón de nuestras luchas revolucionarias, nuestros sueños y esperanzas. Vamos a devolver esta guerra a donde fue aprobada, respaldada, legitimada y producida. Elevaremos los costes para aquellos que se benefician de esta guerra. Haremos que rindan cuentas quienes apoyan el asesinato de civiles lo legitiman como una supuesta "guerra contra el terror". Y haremos que el ensordecido público europeo escuche, recordaremos a nuestras sociedades que todos nosotros somos responsables de aquello que los gobiernos están haciendo en nuestro nombre. En este sentido, hacemos un llamamiento a las fuerzas emancipadoras de todo el mundo a romper el silencio, a dar voz a la gente de Rojava para que nadie más puede ignorarla. Si no somos nosotros, ¿quién más podrá reclamar responsabilidades a nuestras sociedades? La situación en Afrin es una amenaza existencial a todas nuestras perspectivas revolucionarias. Cuándo, si no ahora, es hora de arriesgarlo todo? Si Afrin cae, será demasiado tarde. Solo si lo damos todo, podremos ganarlo todo. Las acciones de solidaridad pasadas con la resistencia en Afrin han sido correctas y acertadas. Saludamos a todos los camaradas que han estado organizando, manifestándose y llevando a cabo acciones directas durante semanas. Éstos han sido momentos importantes, pero no son suficientes. En la situación actual, el silencio asesino y el apoyo del fascismo Turco por parte de la comunidad internacional nos obliga a otros medios. Debemos ejercer el derecho a la autodefensa de nuestras esperanzas. Las acciones directas pueden no solo ser una intervención concreta en la guerra y maquinaria de propaganda del estado turco y sus ayudantes, pues tienen mucho más potencial para llamar la atención de la extraordinaria urgencia de la situación. Quema de embajadas y consulados turcos, sabotaje de empresas armamentisticas y acciones militantes masivas contra los símbolos del capitalismo y el gobierno imperialista, romperán el silencio y harán que las atrocidades del fascismo turco sean imposibles de ignorar. El sistema en Europa se nutre de nosotros para hacernos dependientes y aturdirnos, para pacificar conflictos y contradicciones. Dejemos que la falsa ilusión de paz social se consuma por las llamas. Demostremos a los gobernantes que resistiremos los ataques con la gente de Rojava y defenderemos todo lo que significa la revolución en Rojava, que es también nuestra revolución. Call for Action: If Afrin falls ... it will have been too late!

For more than 6 weeks we have had to watch the Turkish state attack and occupy together with Islamist groups like ISIS and Al-Qaida Afrin, the most western canton of Rojava. In this extermination campaign, the invaders are neither deterred by the deliberate bombardment of civilians nor by the use of chemical weapons. The Islamist mercenaries and fascist Turkish soldiers leave a trail of devastation, plunder, rape and murder, they practice an ethnic cleansing of the territory of Kurds. So far, more than 300 civilians and many militants have given their lives, dozens of villages have been destroyed and hundreds of thousands of people have had to leave their homes. Despite the determined resistance of Afrin's people and their YPG / YPJ / SDF defense units, the Turkish army manages to gain more ground every day. While the Turkish offensive was stuck in the border area of the canton for the first month, in recent days important small towns such as Raco and Shera have been conquered by the invaders. Their destination is Afrin City, the place where civilians have fled the villages and small towns they have conquered so far. This is made possible by the massive use of modern NATO technology such as fighter jets, artillery, tanks and drones. The fascist-Islamist war of aggression against Afrin is not only Erdogan's attempt to destroy the Kurdish freedom movement; While Russia opens the door to the Turkish Air Force and the Syrian Assad regime is de facto inactive, NATO actively supports this war with intelligence information, military technology, weapons and ammunition from Western factories. The hypocritical messages from the palaces of power can not hide the fact that this war is nothing but the reckoning of the rulers with the revolution of Rojava. It is a reckoning with the attempt to counter the capitalist system with a self-determined alternative of radical democracy, women's liberation, real gender equality, and social ecology. As radical left around the world, we should be aware of the historical significance of these days. The attack on Afrin is an attempt to destroy the most promising revolutionary project of our generation. The Rojava Revolution is not only the only significant emancipatory perspective in the Middle East, but also one of the worldwide last remaining glimmers of hope for another world. Like no other revolution of the last decades, Rojava has inspired us and shown us how radical and beautiful the struggle for the liberation of a society can be. The heroic resistance of YPG and YPJ in Kobani and the self-organization of the population under the initiative of self-liberating women cast a spell over thousands of leftists, anarchists, socialists and feminists. Worldwide, this revolution was discussed, admired and given solidarity, hundreds of people made their way to Rojava and participated in the resistance against ISIS and the building of a new society. In spite of all the contradictions, the Rojava movement, with its determination, its attachment to the people and the concrete implementation of our utopias, has become the most important focal point of the global struggle against capitalism, patriarchy and racism. Today, this project is standing with its back to the wall. The war over Afrin is a struggle for existence or not-existence for the revolution in Rojava. If Afrin falls, Minbij will fall as well. With a victory for the Turkish state west of the Euphrates, American imperialism will also rethink its regional strategy and consider to hand over northern Syria to Turkey-affiliated Islamist militias under the FSA label aka ISIS and Al-Qaida / Al-Nusra. This would not only be the beginning of ethnic cleansing and the bloody end of the Rojava revolution, but also the beginning of a new phase in the development of Turkish fascism as a source of worldwide Islamism - Erdogan's dreams of the new Ottoman Empire with him as Sultan at the head would no longer have any counterpart. The dictatorship inside would be consolidated for decades, the colonial expansion would be extended to the outside. The Middle East would be driven deeper into the chaos of war and annihilation without a force that can develop an emancipatory alternative. The fact that developments in the Middle East have a direct impact on political and social processes also in Europe and other parts of the world has not only been shown by the attacks of ISIS in recent years. The rise of racism, sexism and antisemitism in European societies, the new militarism and the ever-increasing calls for the authoritarian state and thus the comeback of the radical right, are directly related to this. We must be aware that the conditions under which we, the radical left, are struggling in the centers of power are also shaped by the international balance of power. And the same is true of the political conditions in the metropolises of capitalism, which influence the conditions under which our friends fight in Afrin. The people of Rojava are still standing, YPG / YPJ / SDF are opposed to these developments. And this resistance has so far only been successful because people have decided to give everything for it. However, they will not be able to defend against the brutal superiority of the attacking Turkish army and their Islamist helpers without international support. But despite weeks of worldwide protests, the states of North America via Europe to Russia hold on to their cruel decision to end this revolution, and seem to have sealed the fate of the people in Rojava. The resistance in Afrin will only succeed if we are ready to give it all, even if it is the most valuable. We will not continue to watch this injustice passively. We will not leave the people in Rojava and our fighting comrades alone, because the war against Afrin is just as much a war against us. The Turkish attack on Afrin is NATO's political, economic and military push into the heart of our revolutionary struggles, dreams and hopes. We will carry this war back to where it is approved, supported, legitimized and produced. We will drive up the costs for those who benefit from this war. We will hold to account those who endorse the murder of civilians and legitimize them as a supposed "war on terror". And we will make the deafened European public listen up and remind our societies that we all have a responsibility for what governments are doing on our behalf. In this sense, we call upon all emancipatory forces worldwide to break the silence and give a voice to the people of Rojava that no one else can ignore. If not us, who else will be able to remind our societies of their responsibilities? The situation in Afrin is an existential threat to all our revolutionary perspectives - when, if not now, is it time to risk everything? If Afrin falls, it will be too late. Only if we give everything, we will be able to win everything. The past solidarity actions with the resistance in Afrin have been right and good. We greet all the comrades who have been organizing, demonstrating and carrying out direct actions for weeks. These were important moments, but they are not enough. In the current situation, the murderous silence and the support of fascist Turkey by the international community forces us to other means. We must exercise our right of self-defense of our hopes. Direct actions can not only be a concrete intervention in the war and propaganda machinery of the Turkish state and its helpers, but have much more potential to draw attention to the extraordinary urgency of the situation. Burning Turkish embassies and consulats, sabotaged armaments companies and mass militant actions against the symbols of capitalist and imperialist rule will break the silence and make the atrocities of Turkish fascism no longer ignorable. The system in Europe thrives on us to engage and stun, to pacify conflicts and contradictions - let this false illusion of social peace go up in flames. Let us show the rulers that we will resist the attacks with the people of Rojava and defend by all means the revolution in Rojava, which is also our revolution. We call on Monday, 12.3.2018 to start with this militant campaign wherever we can hit the rulers: Radical, creative and courageous, involve you and organize local actions as a prelude to a resistance that will show the powerful of this world that Afrin is not alone.
