Resolution by the Popular Assembly of Syntagma Square – 2nd June 2011
Now it’s us that shall talk! Call for a paneuropean uprising on 5th of June
Since 25th of May, thousands of citizens have filled the squares of the whole country, claiming to take our lives into our hands. We have different ideological backgrounds, but what unites us is the indignation for all that is happening, and also our desire for justice, equality and dignity. We are different, but we are and will stay all together united!
At the same time, similar mobilizations take place everywhere in Europe. On Sunday 5th of June we coordinate our pace and meet at 6 pm at Syntagma Square, and all the squares of the country, and everywhere in Europe. Our voice needs to be heard loudly everywhere:
-because whole peoples cannot be sacrificed in order for the lenders not to have losses – the debt is not ours and we are not going to pay it,
-because this political system which makes poor people poorer and rich people richer, cannot anymore decide for us without us, and has to be subverted,
-because we want to live with dignity from our labor, without the constant terrorism of unemployment,
-because all those that looted the common wealth must be punished,
-because public and free health and education are inalienable rights of all,
-because the “Medium-term Program” must not pass.
The organized disinformation does not scare us. We will stay in the squares until all those that created today’s dead-end go away and do not come back with a different mask: IMF, “Memorandum”, Troika, governments, banks and all those that exploit us. We will go on demonstrating united and collectively until “Turmoil shall fall on Hades, and the planking shall sag under the great pressure of the Sun”

and the following resolution, that calls for action for the 15th June, the day the new cuts/austerity measures go to the Greek parliament. Please note this is the same day with actions planned in Barcelona ("aturem el Parlament"). The resolution below:
" 2. The following People's Assemblies of Syntagma Square, until Sunday, June 5 should address the following question: How should the concentrations of June 15, 2011 be organised from the morning, in all the squares of the city with posters explaining the terms of the Medium-term Program. Following this, how should we make protests that will encourage our citizens to participate, ultimately leading to Syntagma Square for the occupation of the square and the blockade of parliament? "

Ahora somos nosotros los que hablamos!
Convocatoria de un levantamiento paneuropeo para el 5 de junio
Desde el 25 de mayo, miles de ciudadanos estamos llenando las plazas de todo el país, reivindicando el poder sobre nuestras propias vidas.. Tenemos diferentes orígenes ideológicos, pero lo que nos une es la indignación por todo lo que está pasando, y también nuestro deseo de justicia, la igualdad y la dignidad. Somos diferentes, pero estamos y permaneceráemos todos juntos unidos!
Al mismo tiempo, las movilizaciones similares tienen lugar en toda Europa. El domingo 5 de junio coordinamos nuestro ritmo y nos reuniremos a las 18 h. en la plaza Syntagma, y todas las plazas del país, y en todas partes de Europa. Nuestra voz debe ser escuchada con fuerza en todas partes:
- Porque pueblos enteros no pueden ser sacrificados por el hecho de que los prestamistas tengan pérdidas - la deuda no es nuestra y no vamos a pagarla,
-Porque este sistema político que hace a las personas pobres más pobres y a los ricos más ricos, ya no puede decidir por nosotros sin nosotros, y debe ser subvertido,
, Porque queremos vivir dignamente de nuestro trabajo, sin el terrorismo constante del desempleo,
, Porque todos los que saquearon el patrimonio público debe ser castigados,
-Porque la salud pública y gratuita y la educación son derechos inalienables de todos,
-Porque el "Programa de Medio Plazo" no debe pasar.
La desinformación organizada no nos asusta. Nos quedaremos en las plazas hasta que todos los que nos llevaron a este callejón sin salida se vayan y no vuelvan con una máscara diferente: el FMI, "Memorándum", la troika, los gobiernos, bancos y todos los que nos explotan. Seguiremos manifestándonos unida y colectivamente hasta que "la confusión se hunda en el Hades, y el entarimado se derrumbe bajo el gran pesio del Sol"

y la siguiente resolución, que llama a la movilización para el 15 de junio, día en que los nuevos recortes/ medidas austeridad serán presentadas al Parlamento griego. Tengamos cuenta que es el mismodía de las acciones previstas en Barcelona ("Aturem el Parlament"). La resolución a continuación:
"Las Asambleas del Pueblo de la plaza Syntagma deberían abordar la cuestión siguiente:. ¿Cómo organizar las concentraciones del 15 de junio por la mañana, en todas las plazas de la ciudad, con carteles explicativos sobre el Programa de Medio Plazo?. Después de esto, ¿cómo debemos hacer que las protestas lleven a la gente hasta la plaza Syntagma, para ocupar la plaza y bloquear el Parlamento? " |
