Official Transcript of Recording of Bar Mitzvah speech by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Saturday, Nov. 1, 1969.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:

“Ladies and Gentlemen, Mom and Dad, Distinguished Rabbis,

Thank you all for coming to my Bar Mitzvah. Today I am a man. Dad, thanks for the great haircut.

According to the Old Testament, the holy scripture of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the Jewish King Solomon built the Beit HaMikdash aka Solomon’s Temple aka the First Temple in Jerusalem in 960 BCE. The First Temple of Solomon was the main place of worship for the Jewish Israelites in Jerusalem 960 years before the birth of Christ and Christianity and 1,600 years before the birth of Islam.

Our Jewish people prayed there in Jerusalem for 374 years until the Iraqi Babylonians destroyed King Solomon’s Temple in 586 BC. Today the United States of America is only 193 years old.

Iran used to be called Persia until 1935. Cyrus the Great was the first Persian Emperor. Cyrus the Great believed in the religion of Zoroastrianism and the teachings of the Prophet Zoroaster, who invented the first monotheistic religion, Zoroastrianism. Cyrus the Great conquered the world, including the Babylonians.

70 years after Solomon’s Temple was destroyed by the Bablonians, the Persian (Iranian) Emperor Cyrus the Great authorized the rebuilding of the Jewish Holy Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem in 516 BC. After conquering Babylon, Cyrus procalimed himself King of the Four Corners of the flat world. He then rented a flat in Jerusalem where he entertained members of the G20, and freed the Jewish Israeli people from their captivity in Babylon and allowed them to return to Israel. The Second Temple stood until it was again destroyed by the Roman Empire in 70 AD.

It is with great sadness that we remember so many of our relatives lost in the Holocaust. Our relatives never got to see the return of our people to the land of Israel in 1948 but I am sure that their spirits are here tonight and rejoicing at this blessed event. May God Bless Iran, and Israel and all of you here tonight. Now lets all eat, drink and be merry.”
