Els espais buits no fan Gràcia : The empty spaces are not funny
So read the new banner that now hangs on the end wall of the new Hort Comunitari, or community garden in Catalan, that was opened in Gracia on Saturday morning. From just being another quite and dry street, theres now a hive of activity in Caller Banyoles; people, laughter, color, sounds, music, dancing, kids playing. Being there one knows that Patcha Mama smiles again in Gracia. |

Empty heads aren't funny either, even if they're filled up with vegetable soup and "community" and new age amerindian gods non-sense mumblings
Have you come here cos no one stands you in London?
Let the workers fight and smile, not Patcha Mama -althought Marte would be ok- |

You seem to be native english speaker yourself, you from there yourself perhaps, if so, how and why you here??
You put forward a lot of judgement and negative stuff, or maybe your just a troll? if not, perhaps you and i can talk, debate etc, while we work in the garden or if you come to the cuba film screening tomorrow night:
( Cómo Cuba sobrevivió al pico del petróleo - peli y debate: http://barcelona.indymedia.org/calendari/displayevent/3034/index.php ) That is if you present your self.
Im not from London, but different place all together, a few times ive helped out /struggled there (most recent climate camp radio: http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/radio ) Plenty of interesting things on there...
"Let the workers fight and smile" - i worked a bit, i smiled a lot over the weekend, did you, were you there?
Remember that "workers" can be both strong and struggling, while also gentle and poetic or spiritual, without the "vegetable soup and "community" and new age amerindian gods non-sense mumblings", if thats how you like to phrase it.

What makes you think I'm as you? Maybe that would make you feel better? You come here and pretend to give us lessons about Patcha Mama's holy teachings, as a self-appointed missionary, proselityze through guilt insisting of how silent must be and ashamed must feel because in south and centralamerican areas life can be more difficult.
Don't you know we have a long, bloody and proud history and tradition of social fight? Life here has been very difficult. We fought and overcame many difficulties. Many other remain and many other appear in the horizon. Life here is still very difficult for many people and it's getting worse for even more people. If you really like Patcha Mama's teachings and are really interested in central and southamerica then go there. While being here learn about Demeter instead. The great majority of place names in this country bearing the name of "Verge de..." were usually consecrated to Demeter. The catholic worship of the Virgin is a christianization of the ancient worship to Demeter -Mother Earth-.
Nice song, Roots bloody roots, our roots are ancient and sometimes demand to be nourished with blood. Cavalera Conspiracy, the new band of the Cavalera brothers, is very good also. By Night are worth listening too. London is nice, but the West Midlands are nicer. I alhora soc català, que ho sàpigues. I'd rather drink wine with the porró in the Pyrenees or the Olympus to Dionisos and the Gods than munch coca leaves in the Andes to the Patcha Mama although I love all mountains, their misty forests and the Sun -mighty Apollo- rising through their deep snow covered peaks.

I didnt specifically come here, ie BCN, i ended up here and since arriving ive learned many things, and continue to learn things. I have, at times, plugged into some real world things and places and with that met some amazing people and places. it does not bother me whether we, you and i, are similar or not, however you wish to differenciate: We are all different. Each with our strengths, weakness, faults and fuck ups.
Regarding lessons, I dont come to preach, im here and while so i try to interact with things in hope that projects grow, things change and in doing so life is lived, to the maximum. Im well aware of BCN / Catalunya / spain`s difficult history. As stated, i come from a different land altogether, where we too have had our hard times (9m > 2m >@4/5m). Thanks for Demeter slant, i was not aware of her, same here or there, no? same thing happened all over these and other pagan lands In our land we welcome strangers, enjoy the difference and invite them to participate in our worlds, so as to share that we love and cherish. whereas here, what? F*ck off ??
Perhaps reasons i mention patcha mama and not demater is that most friends here are from latin america, it would be nice to meet more, learn more, do more with and in the catalan world. This is exactly the type of thing which makes gardens magic: yeah we plant food and stuff, but they are far more important than that...
This, the virtual world, is only an aide to the real world. So F*ck off, if you still want me to fuck off, come and tell me so tonight when we talk about how best to work toward making this world more sound and ecological, and beautiful. Share your vision on how to change things, excite us to work with you on projects, share what you know.
And if you cant make it tonight, share your views, have this chat in real world...

There are amazing places and people everywhere.
To interact from mutual respect is the best way to learn about them.
What makes them interesting is difference, contrast in every imaginable shade of colour.
As an Irish you know well about what means your right to be Irish, you had to fight very hard to achieve it, not because you felt better than anyone else but because you know you simply have the right to be yourself.
And that's your unique contribution to make the world an interesting and amazing place.
If we were all the same it would become boring and grey.
What makes a garden beautiful, at least in my eyes, is to see different kinds of flowers growing freely in it. Yes, they're all flowers. But they aren't all the same.
Lupins, daffodils and wisterias are the flowers I like most:
They die and return to life. It's Demeter in action. Death and revival. Strength. Struggle. Hope.
I have nothing against Patcha Mama. It probably represents something similar to Demeter. But it's not the same. Here in Europe, in the Latin Europe, in the Catalan Countries, it's Demeter's place.
I wish you the best with your project.

"Tourist come a la terra seca" és un apassionant exemple de multiculturalisme lingüístico-jerarquic. En anglès, en castellà i finalment en català. Gracies per convidar-me a menjar a la Terra Seca, mentre hi hagi vi a dojo ja m'està bé. No t'amoïnis tant per l'anglès xeic!! No serà que ets [... silenci tens i dramàtic...] xenòfob? |

finnaly,
thanks for respond to me, Indymedia is a good space for the interchange of ideas, and for to practice languages as well, for being able to express the ideas widely (the circle again).
Maybe next time in esperanto?

And why esperanto when we already have Latin? Apollo, Atenea and Demeter our Trinity... in damp and dry land, you know what I mean dontcha? |
