Voleu conscienciar la gent sobre Catalunya? Jo també vull? He fet un curt no-comercial titulat "Homage to a Catalonian Christmas", que tracta sobre les tradicions catalanes de Nadal. Com el tió, el caganer, els Reis Mags i Catalunya. El curt es podrà veure al 30è Cleverlabd International Film Festival al Març. Desafortunadament, no va ser escollit pel principal Cinequest Film Festival a San Jose, California (http://www.cinequest.org/2006/), però va ser seleccionat per la seva competició on-line. Si aconsegueix suficients vots per guanyar aquesta competició, serà promocionat a l'estàndard Cinequest Film Festival, i allà es veurà davant els espectadors del Festival.

Hi ha alguns passos que s'han de fer per descarregar-lo, veure'l i votar-lo però es una oportunitat per conscienciar els americans sobre Catalunya i els Catalans. Per veure'l neseciteu un ordinador amb Windows i amb el Windows Media Player 9 o 10. Us recomano que tingueu instalades les actualitzacions de Windows abans de començar a seguir les instruccions. Visca Catalunya! Visca Catalans! Podeu mirar-lo i votar per el film seguint les següents instruccions: posa http://cinequestonline.org/2006/index.php al teu navegador. Apareixerà la pàgina de Cinequest Online Home Cliqueu 'login' situat a la part superior dreta de la web. Apareixerà la pàgina de 'Login To Cinequest Online' Cliqueu 'Click here' per registrar-vos Apareixerà la pàgina de 'Register with Cinequest Online' Els dos camps necessaris són l'adreça electrònica i el codi postal. Hi poseu la informació i cliqueu el botó per enviar-ho. (Submit) Sereu retornats a la pàgina principal de Cinequest Online. Podreu veure que on abans hi havia "Login" ara hi ha el vostre e-mail, esteu registrats i connectats. Cliqueu sobre 'Viewers' Voice Collection and Competition' vincle situat a la part esquerra de la pantalla. Veureu la pàgina de 'Viewers' Voice' Tireu avall la pagina una mica i veureu els números 0-9 i l'abecedari. Cliqueu la "h" per curts que començen per aquesta lletra. La pàgina 'Browse Films' es la que veureu Cliqueu sobre 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas' Apareixerà la pàgina de 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas. Cliqueu sobre 'Watch this film' undersota la imatge del Bart Simpson caganer. *********************************** Sigueu pacients amb la següent part *********************************** Una finestra us mostrarà un missatge de seguretat per a la descarga. Després una altra finestra us dirà que heu d'instal•lar ActiveX per què ho pugeu veure. Potser us demanarà que cliqueu al botó sobre la fletxa a l'esquerra. Quan ho cliqueu, feu clic damunt de 'Install ActiveX control' en aquesta petita pantalla. Us descargarà un programa deI www.omn.org. El programa us descargarà el video i el visualitzarà.. Després de que el programa se us descargui, veureu una pantalla que us pregunta si el voleu instal•lar. Apreteu install. El programa s'instal·larà i s'obrirà sol, i automàticament us començarà a descargar 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas'. L'estat de la descarga està sota My Dowloads, mireu que estigui In Progress, a la banda esquerra de la pantalla. Quan acabi, el curt anirà a parar a la Downloaded page. Cliqueu sobre Downloaded, situat sobre el botó de In Progress a la part esquerra de My Downloads. Haurieu de veure el film al capdamunt del llistat. Haureu de conectar-vos al programa de descargues. Cliqueu 'Sign In' a la part esquerra. The Open Media Network s'obrirà cliqueu sobre 'Sign Up' Poseu el vostre e-mail i una contrasenya. Ara ja esteu registrats i conectats. Cliqueu sobre play Després de que s'acabi cliqueu sobre les estrelles y poseu-n'hi les que vosaltres creieu que mereix el meu vídeo. Segons la vostra opinió, Indiqueu la apropiada audiencia: G (apte per totes les edats), PG (per pares.), 14 (joves), MA (audiencia madura) Entreu 'Documentary' per l'etiqueta Després la clau. Cliqueu sobre Add Comment si voleu dir alguna cosa. Desconecteu-vos quan hagueu acabat. Si sabeu sobre algun vídeo interessant o fotos o pel•lícula sobre aquest tema, contacteu amb mi i potser ho puc incluir. Si voleu donar diners per la quota de festivals de pel•lícules, m'inscriuré a tants festivals com pugui. Si us plau voteu aviat. El concurs acaba el 28 de febrer. I do too. I have created a non-commercial short film titled, 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas', about the Christmas traditions of Catalunya. It features the tió, caganer, Three Kings, and Catalunya. The film will play at the 30th Cleveland International Film Festival in March. Unfortunately, the film was not selected for the main Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California (http://www.cinequest.org/2006/), but it was selected for their on-line competition. If it gets enough votes to win the on-line competition, it will be promoted into the standard Cinequest Film Festival where it will be played before an audience. There are a few steps involved in downloading, viewing, and voting but it is an opportunity to educate Americans about Catalans and Catalunya. Please note. Click on the 'Click here' to register with Cinequest On-line. the 'Register with Cinequest Online' page will be displayed the two required items for registration are an email address and a postal code enter the information and click the submit button You will be returned to the Cinequest Online Home page. Notice in the upper right hand corner that you are now logged in. Click on the 'Viewers' Voice Collection and Competition' link on the left side of the screen. the 'Viewers' Voice' page will be displayed. move down the page a little and you will see numbers 0 - 9, and letters a - z click on 'h' for the films that start with the letter 'h' The 'Browse Films' page will be displayed. click on 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas' the 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas' page will be displayed. Click on 'Watch this film' under the image of caganer Bart Simpson. *********************************** be patient with the next part *********************************** A box will appear stating that a secure download has begun Then a box stating that a ActiveX control may be needed to install will be displayed. It may ask you to click the box directly above the arrow on the left. When you do click it, click 'Install ActiveX control' on the little pop up menu It will then download a program from www.omn.org. This program will download and play the video. After the program downloads, a screen will ask you if you want to install this software on your computer Click install. The program will install, launch itself, and will automatically begin the download of 'Homage to a Catalonian Christmas'. The download status is located under the 'My Downloads' tab at the top of the screen. On this screen make sure 'in progress' is selected on the left side of the screen. After the download completes, it will move from the 'in progress' page to the 'downloaded' page. Click the 'Downloaded' tab above the 'In progress tab' on the left side of the 'My Downloads' screen. You should see the film listed at the top. You must now login to the download program. Click 'Sign In' at the bottom right of the screen. The Open Media Network dialog box is displayed click on 'Sign Up' enter your email and a password You are now signed in. Click on play After the end of the movie, click on one of the five stars under the heading 'My Vote' to vote for the video, the more stars the better you liked it. in your opinion, Indicate the appropiate audience: G (general audience), PG (parental guidance), 14 (teen), MA (mature audience) enter 'Documentary' for the tag Click the enter key Click on add Comment if you want to say something.
