God is an english-speaker

I have noticed that all the invited representatives of the World's religions at the Parliament of Religions in the UNICEF universal Forum of Cultures when interviewed on local TV have spoken English. |
This is proof to me, that God is an English-speaker.
At the weekend, BTV showed photos of one young american woman crying with emotion as she sat next to her Guru and she then explained- "a spiritual master who has achieved great spiritual attainment"
they sang for World Peace in Sanskrit.
Last night TVE showed a visit to the forum, and some young Sikh women explained (in british english) that they chant the name of God when they make lentil soup, so that God enters the lentils. "what goes into the food is what we see, what we say".
She made no reference to the sponsership of Coca Cola which had provided all the seats, the napkins and was more visible and more recognisable than any sanksrit or dravidian chant.
Then TVE brought us inside a home, to see where christian delegates from the Philipines had been offered a home during their stay.
They complained bitterly about the beaches where bikinis are on display in standard US english and also at the night time entertainment which forces these christians to witness modern Catalan humour which is filled with sexual nuance.
That's it.
God speaks american english.
God also washes his feet regularly,
God eats vegetarian and
God never wears a bikini-

Sí, en efecto dios siempre ha servido para que los que detentan el poder puedan seguir esclavizando, explotando o depredando sin que nadie les tosa: sea el Imperio Romano, sea el Dalai Lama con los campesinos tibetanos, sea Montserrat pagando a los requetés, sea Bush aliándose con Woytila, sea los propios "representantes de dios" que generan movimientos de "adormecimiento político" para impedir el avance de la lucha de clases.
En efecto, la religión es el mecanismo para apalancar la explotación y no es extraño que ggran multinacional recurra a ella para seguir vendiendo ¿o no era suyo aquéllo de la chispa de la vida? ... todas las mentiras se parecen, y son fáciles de aceptar por su comodidad: el FORUM ha tenido la virtud de situar juntos a los mentirosos y poner a cada uno en su lugar. |
