Ayer llevamos a cabo la conexión wifi del Estrecho de Gibraltar como un proyecto de los movimientos sociales de base. La información aparecida en slashdot
Hi this is osfa@wewearbuildings, participating in the wireless connection between the two shores of the straits of gibraltar. This project has been performed by a wide alliance of social activists and hackers, including psand, but also many other groups and persons. The news item is particularly misleading when it states that "a company called psand" is the author of the connection. The project has been developed within a political frame, and psand, through Mike Harris, was invited to participate in the project as one among other specialists, - together with global telesat -, with a strong political position in relation to issues like freedom of movement and freedom of communication, which in particular, is the general topic of the event of which the connection has been part of: transacciones / fadaiat The process can be followed here: http://hackitectura.net/fadaiat http://mcs.hackitectura.net The collectives participating in the project began collaboratively working in it last november 2003.
